ABOUT
RegolithX is an early-stage space research and dual-use technology start-up dedicated to solving one of the most critical challenges in lunar and Martian operations: regolith (dust). Abrasive, electrostatically charged regolith degrades suits, tools, seals, and equipment, limiting mission duration and increasing operational costs. Our mission is to commercialize NASA-inspired dust mitigation components and systems that actively repel dust from surfaces, extending equipment lifespan and enabling longer, more sustainable missions for space agencies and commercial operators.
Currently part of the StartUp FTL accelerator in Fort Lauderdale, FL, RegolithX combines cutting-edge space research and technology with practical Earth-based applications. Our dual-use technology not only addresses critical challenges in space exploration but also reduces downtime and increases equipment lifespans in solar and heavy industry operations on Earth. Led by a PMP-certified project manager with expertise in strategic planning and international operations, we bridge early-stage innovation with real-world commercialization to transform how humanity explores and operates on Earth, and beyond.
THE PROBLEM
LUNAR & MARTIAN MISSIONS: Regolith clogs seals, scratches optics, degrades solar panels, and damages suits. NASA has flagged dust mitigation as a top challenge and technology gap for sustained lunar presence.
TERRESTRIAL SOLAR: Dust and soiling reduce solar panel output by 15-30% or more in high-dust environments, driving over $5B in annual losses globally. Manual cleaning is expensive, water-intensive, and often infeasible.
MINING & HEAVY INDUSTRY: Silica dust damages equipment, shortens filter life, and causes serious occupational health risks. Existing suppression uses billions of gallons of water annually.
